Nelson and 17-year-old Smith Rowe are also in the Gunners’ starting line-up, with the latter turning out for the senior side for only the second time after playing in the easy win against Boreham Wood earlier in the month.
With several star players unable to feature, Atletico manager Diego Simeone has decided to hand starting places to a host of youngsters and second-stringers. 20-year-old Moya and teenager Montero Rubio are set to start at the back, while Joaquin Munoz and new signing Rodri will feature alongside regulars Partey and Correa in midfield.

Arsenal XI (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac; Aaron Ramsey, Matteo Guendouzi; Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Alexandre Lacazette.

Barely even touched the ball, other than a couple of clearances with his feet. Could do nothing with the goal. 6
Got forward well at times on the overlap, linking up well with Nelson. Decent showing. 7
Comfortable 45 minutes work for the German, rarely troubled as Arsenal dominated. 6
Calm in possession, look to bring the ball out with the ball at his feet. Wonderful block to deny Correa. 7
Didn’t get forward as much as he would have liked, caused some problems by the tricky Luciano Vietto. The goal came down his side. 6
Sat as the deepest lying midfielder to offer the defence some protection. Very confident on the ball and strode forward on a few occassions. Sent one shot over the top. Impressive 45 minutes. 8
Looks fit and sharp. Never stopped running and set up Lacazette with two good chances, the second of which was from a fabulous through ball. 8
The 17-year-old looked really assured. He got on the ball a lot and his neat footwork impressed the Singapore crowd at times. 7
Looked really bright in the early stages down the right hand side. He was direct, quick and a threat whenever he got on the ball. Faded somewhat as the half went on, but still a good showing. 8
Had one volley deflected wide and miscued another past the post from a corner. Played on the left of the attack and always looked threatening with the ball at his feet. 7
He must hate Jan Oblak! Just as he was on several occasions last season, he was denied by the Slovenia international. The Arsenal striker had three good chances, but couldn’t beat the Atletico keeper. 6
